Helsinki Weekend - Finnish Winner Show & Nordic Winner Show
On Saturday was helded Finnish Winner Show 2009 and the judge was Cristian Stefanescu and there were 55 entered Lagottos. We had had to make some reorganize as in certain reason Senja is not able to enter rings at the moment.. ;) But luckily we have great friends around who can help when it's needed! We had entered a bit less dogs as normally, but we are extremely proud of our gang who represented us so well!
"Matias" Foogel Basileo was shown expertly by his new friend Ante Lucin and it was such a pleasure to see this couple having fun in the ring! Finally they won champion class, ended Best Male with CACIB and new tittle Finnish Winner 2009 and also finally they won BOB! Brother "Rico" Foogel Bastiano was placed 4th in Champion class and "Takku" Foogel Spartaco got excellent in champion class, well done boys! In bitches first Foogel in the ring was lovely "Allis" Foogel Emanuela who was shown very first time in her home country since she moved to Sweden as a puppy. "Allis" was shown really happily as always and she was finally 2nd in junior class after her friend Quintinos Giovanna "Vanna". Finally "Allis" ended 4th Best Bitch, wow! And "Vanna" won Best Bitch! Other Foogels got placements in the classes too, Foogel Calinda Cara "Pippi" got EXC3rd in intermediate class and Foogel Spumante "Uma" got EXC3rd in open class. Our breeders class ( F Basileo, F Spartaco, F Bastiano, F Emanuela) was 2nd Best Breeders class.
In group final "Matias" was again having fun with Ante and they were shortlisted among 8 best, but not placement on this time!
On Sunday the results were not that impressive, but we were there too. "Matias" was shown again by Ante and he looked better than ever, we are so proud of our little man!

Zagreb International 22nd of November "Sebastian" C.I.B.&Fi&S&Ro Ch Foogel Sebastiano has a litter in Croatia with Multi Ch Kan Trace Charlotta. From this litter lovely puppy bitch Kan Trace First Love started her show career at this show with great style winning BOB-puppy and finally 2nd Best In Show Baby puppy at the Zagreb international show! Hyvinkää Special & Seinäjoki international show - New Fin Ch
For Hyvinkää show we had very high expectations, but...... Things did't really go we hoped. Winning best male would have brought for "Matias" really needed points to climb among 10 Top winning show dogs in Finland this year, but "Matias" got the worst show result ever in his show career beeing just 3rd in his class. The judge said that the only problem was that he is too big, but he is not and three of four best male were bigger than him..... But this is good example how showbusiness sometimes is! But we are proud that "Matias" will be more or less around #20 in TOP DOG ALL BREEDS and he will clearly win LAGOTTO OF THE YEAR IN FINLAND 2009! And he has just turned two years and been shown extremely selectively during this year! Generally we didn't get any big wins for Foogel-Lagottos, but all did well and both CC winners were by a Foogel dog, so that's a thing which makes us really really happy!

Nice Agility results During this Autumn Foogel Lagottos have been competing well also in agility. Some nice results and many Foogel Lagottos have started with this lovely hobby. Foogel Dante "Pörrö" hast got two times 0-price in Maxi I class!
Foogel Spartaco "Takku" is starting his agility career and her has done many great starts, so far one 0-price from Maxi I class!
Foogel Vivido "Vito" has also done many starts. He has just sooo much speed that not yet 0-prices, but many very near!

Bratislava World Dog Show Weekend Balt&Est&Lv&Lt JCh Foogel Figurina "Prima" was shown in Bratislava. At first on Saturday she was shown at special show where she was 1st in junior class and got junior-CC. On Sunday at the World Dog Show she got excellent and was placed 5th in junior class. Well done "Prima" and Triinu&Kalvo. Thank you also Ilona Griffioen and Katrien Van Gemert of your great help with showing and grooming "Prima".

Foogel Agility Day in Harjavalta In September we spent the most wonderfull sunny day together training agility. There were 13 persons and 18 Lagottos all together. Owner of Foogel Caprera "Tara" was our trainer and she gave such a great tips for training for everyone! So many happy faces and wagging tails, we had so fun together! Looking forward already for next Foogel agility day!

Swedish Lagotto Raduno - Annual Special of Swedish Lagotto Club Photos: Quintino's and Sinikka Traditionally we travelled to Swedish Lagotto Raduno to show and meet our great Swedish friends. At this time three males joined us, Matias, Takku and Sebastian. Already three years in row we have won 2nd Best Bitch at this show and we felt that it would be nice to win something more and yes that we did! There were finally about 60 Lagottos and they were judged by Nina Karlsdotter. Thanks you Liza (Quintino's), Camilla (Gleska) and Katrien (Rozebottel's) of helping us to show our gang!!

Before the show we had a joke that "Matias" is now missing just BIS1 as during this year he has already been BIS2, BIS3 and BIS4, but we never dreamed it would happen this quick, but yes it happened!!! "Matias" Foogel Basileo won Best In Show at this international show of 3300 entered dogs in total. In breed ring Lagottos were judged by Marjo Jaakkola and "Matias" won easily BOB. Foogel Cassandra "Sasha" was 2nd Best Bitch with reserve-CC and reserve-CACIB too. Best Bitch was Kaiju's "Torri" Tulan Storia D'Amore who is daughter of F Scirocco. In group final the quality of dogs was super high but Matias didn't care of that and he won BOG with style in pouring rain! Both second and third in group eight were among 10 top winning show dogs in Finland, so this was really great win and we had so much fun in ring with Matias. In BIS-final, which was judged by Bo Skalin,the quality was also high, but Matias really did the best and showed who does she is. The 2nd in BIS was Skyenterrier who won BIS at Helsinki Winner Show last year and 3rd in BIS was "Pertti" The Löwchen who is the leader in dog of the year competition in Finland.
This show was really a dream com true for us al. The feeling you win the very first international show best in show with a dog you have own bred is something really special I have to say! Thanks of all congratulations!

"Consta" Foogel Constantino in obedience
"Consta" Foogel Constantino has done such a great work in obedience with his owner Johanna. They have got three times 1st price in the beginners class and tittle TK1 infront of the name! And in each competition he has also got very high points! We are so proud of you and wish good luck for training in the next class, open class!

Heinola All Breed Show and Baltic Winner show
Once again great show weekend! "Matias" did great work again winning first BOB under Miklos Levente, then he was really flying in the group ring and took easily one more group win in his credit under Ellina Tan-Hietalahti and finally also ended Best in Show 3 under Italian Paolo Dondina.
In Baltic Winner show in Tallin Foogel Calinda Cara "Pippi" was 3rd Best Bitch and Foogel Figurina "Prima" was 3rd in junior class with excellent.

Joensuu International, Mustasaari show and Ikaalinen show
"Ruben" Foogel Pittoresco won BOB and CACIB at Joensuu international. The judge was Elena Ruskovaara. In junior class Foogel Feliciano was VG1.
At Mustasaari show "Sohvi" was shown after a while and she was looking sooo lovely in the ring and won BOB and CC. In males "Quas" Quasimodo Del Monte Della Dea was 2nd Best Male with reserve-CC.
At really rainy Ikaalinen show Lagottos were judged by Anna-Liisa Heikkinen. BOB was 2nd time this weekend "Sohvi" Foogel Sofia Sublime and she finished also her Finnish Champion tittle at this 4th show for her ever. Best male with CC was "Quas" Quasimodo Del Monte Della Dea, so he needs now one more CC to finish his Fin Ch tittle.

Turku All Breed Show At Turku show Lagottos were judged by Christian Vantu. The day was "Bella's" day. Foogel Paola Bella won her first CC and was also Best Bitch! Well done Pamela and Bella! Senja was showing "Vito" Foogel Vivido who is trying to get his last CC for Fin Ch tittle, but of course Vito got one one reserve-CC in her credit and was 2nd Best Male after the judge had been thinking his decision for best male sooo long. So we just must go on with CC hunting.... Foogel Cassandra was 4th Best Bitch.

Iisalmi International At Iisalmi international Lagottos were judged by Italian Nicola Imbimbo and Foogel team did well, once again! BOB with CC&CACIB was "Uma" Foogel Spumante and BOS with CACIB was Ch. Foogel Pittoresco "Ruben".

Pori International and "Prima" in Estonia and Latvia
At really rainy Pori international show Ch.Foogel Spataco "Takku" won BOB&CACIB and Foogel Cassandra "Sasha" was 2nd Best Bitch with reserve-CACIB and reserve-CC. Best Bitch was Kaiju's Tulan Storia D'Amore "Torri" who is daughter of Ch. Foogel Scirocco. "Matias" Foogel Basileo was just competing in junior handler with his owner Sanni. This was a very first junior handler competition for Sanni and they did really great work with Matias and were placed 2nd in 10-13 years class! Well done, what a great start!
In Estonia Foogel Figurina "Prima" finished two junior tittles and she is now Est&Lat JCh Foogel Figurina. Well done Prima and Triinu!!

Oulu International show "Rico" Foogel Bastiano travelled to Oulu international shows with his family. At first day she got just very good under Janiki Steinbock as he thought that he is not enought stylish.... ;) But luckily on Sunday the judge realised his quality and finally "Rico" won BOB, CC and CACIB under Italian judge Maria Ceccarelli!

Kokkola International Eija & Senja packed a car a drove up to Kokkola for an international show. Three dogs joined them "Matias", "Gloria" and "Tilda". And results were great! :) "Matias" Foogel Basileo continued his great success and won at first BOB, CC and CACIB under greece Stelios Makaritis. Then he was showing his best once again in group final and won group 8 with style under Harri Lehkonen. Finally he even charmed Swedish best in show judge Kenneth Edh and ended Best In Show 4!! Young "Sasha" Foogel Cassandra did good work with her owner Jasmine and was 3rd Best Bitch with reserve-CC and also BOB-junior. "Gloria" Lapinlumon Gloria was 4th Best Bitch. And then we showed also our Springer "Tilda" Barecho Pearl Of Passion and she was 2nd in intermediate class with excellent.

"Allis" Foogel Emanuela is doing great in Sweden Little "Allis" who is living at Quintinos kennel of Liza Peters has been showing around during the summer with nice results. She has many class wins in junior class and at Visby show she was even 2nd Best Bitch with CC under Paul Scanlon! "Allis" is expertly shown by Liza's daughter Julia Peters! We are sooo proud of little "Allis" who doen't simple know how to stop wagging her tail! ;)

Our Team has got a new member from Italy
Already some time we have been thinking to have a new breed, mainly as a "toy" for Sinikka and Jukka. Now when the time was correct and Inka was going to Italy to fetch a male puppy for her and was willing to bring also a little girl for us, here she is, "Ava" Agata Dell'Ovo! She is bred by Marco Belfiore and Laura Majorana and she is from real origin area of Cirneco Dell'Etna breed Sicily! "Ava" is by Iris Del Gelso Bianco and Pupa.

2x International Show in Riga Latvia Toini travelled to Riga with "Ruben" Ch. Foogel Pittoresco and they did really great work! On Saturday "Ruben" won BOB, CC, CACIB and finally also 2nd Best Of Group! And on Sunday he won another CACIB and Best Male! Ruben finished also his Latvian Champion tittle!

Salo All breed national show There were 10 entered Lagottos and the judge was Riitta-Liisa Lehtonen. Mery and Quas were entered and they continued nice work. Finally Mery won BOB & CC, and Quas was 2nd Best Dog. 3rd Best Bitch was Ch. Foogel Liviana "Neera".

Iitti special showfor group 8 Finally summer has arrived in Finland! We spent such a wonderfull summer weekend on the beach, enjoying sun. But we were showing also a bit! Our Italians "Meri" and "Quas" were entered at Iitti special where Lagottos were judged by Lena Danker and there were 9 entered Lagottos. This was a very first show for "Meri" and 3rd ever for "Quas" so we are really proud that they both won CC!
Also lovely young "Wellu" Foogel Feliciano (Foogel Timoteo - Foogel Prima Ballerina) was shown first time in junior class and her got very good 1, only because he was a bit thin. But Senja was extremely happy to meet this wonderfull young man!
Also Foogel Gianmaria was shown in puppy class and she was BOB-puppy.

Helsinki International Aptus Show
There were 2600 dogs entered completely and 25 Lagottos under very well know Lagotto specialist Claudio De Giuliani from country of origin of Lagottos, Italy. We didn't have super high expectations, but we knew that this judge really knows the correct type and has seen sooo many Lagottos around. And finally this show was really a dream come true for us! Best Male 1, CC, CACIB, BOB, Best of Group and Best In Show 2 Foogel Basileo "Matias" Best Bitch 4, Foogel Liviana BOB-breeders class, Foogel (Basileo, Spartaco, Pittoresco, Liviana) This was the best result ever for a Lagotto in Finland at international shows. Matia's fathers-fathers-mothers-mother got same BIS2 result in 1997, just 12 years ago.

Rauma national all breed show Lagottos were judged by Rony Doedijns from Holland and there were 18 entered Lagottos. We showed very first time little man "Carlos" Foogel Fantastico in puppy class and he did well. And also we had "Quas" and "Sasha" in the ring.

What a day. We didn't really have any high expectations for this day. We were just looking forward to spend lovely, sunny, very first outdoog showday! "Allis" Foogel Emanuela made a debut in adult classes in Sweden There was an unofficial Lagotto Club show of Swedish Lagotto klub in Skåne which was judged by Mikael Nilsson (Kudos Poodles). There were 43 entered Lagottos. "Allis" Foogel Emanuela won junior class and was finally 3rd Best Bitch after 2 champions. Really well done "Allis" and her super handler Julia and Liza of course too! :)
Then day after "Allis" was shown in Hässleholm all breed show were Lagottos were judged by Torbjörn Skaar and there were 49 entered Lagottos. Allis won again junior class with honour price.

Now we can proudly inform you that we have got the very first Foogel-Lagotto who has won tittle, International Champion - "Sebastian" is now Int & Fin & S & Rom Ch Foogel Sebastiano. We just had to collect over 60 CACIB's for Foogel-Lagottos before we were able to get this tittle, yes we have been just too lazy travelling abroad!! "Sebastian" was shown on Sunday at international shown in Zadar, Croatia by his current handler Ante Lucin. And he won his International Champion tittle with style winning BOB, CACIB and Best Of Croup! We are really happy and proud of our boy in the big world and greatfull for Ante and Natalija for all they work for "Sebastian"

What a weekend one has to say. Thanks you for all great puppy buyers and handlers! At first in Lahti internationla. Lagottos were judged by Reija Leikola-Walden. "Rico" Foogel Bastiano was shown expertly again by Anna and results were great once again! BOS, CC, CACIB Foogel Bastino "Rico" At Vaasa International "Takku" Ch. Foogel Spartaco did the best result for Foogel-Lagottos this year in Finland! He won first BOB and CACIB and was finally also placed 4th BOG defeatins some of the top dogs in group 8 in Finland this year! Well done Takku and Eija! BOB, CACIB & 4th BOG Foogel Spartaco And there was not success just in Lagotto ring, but also in English Springer ring! Foogel Impressionist "Eemil" was doing such a great work with his owner Sofia! They won first working class and ended finally 2nd Best Male with CC and reserve-CACIB!
At Satu Mare international show "Sebastian" Ch. Foogel Sebastiano won BOB and CACIB in both days and on Saturday also CC, which made him Romanian Champion! Thank you Ante, once again you did great work with our boy!

Best male, Cacib, CC Foogel Bastiano "Rico" 3rd Best Bitch, CC Foogel Cassandra BOB-breeders Class Foogel What a lovely day we had. This was a first possible show for "Rico" to win CACIB and he did it with style at the age of 15 months. "Sasha" is now 11 months and she did such a great work and won her very first CC. And the thing which makes us even more proud that as always "Rico" was shown by his 16 years old owner Anna Kostylev and "Sasha" by her 14 years old owner Jasmine Peltorinne and "Neera" by her 17 years old owner Tarja Työläjärvi, great work girls!

Show Lagotto of The Year Needles to say how proud we are of these results! Having 6 Lagottos among 10 top winning show Lagottos makes us really proud after we had won Lagotto of the year competition before this 4 years in row. And it's really great that "Tara" Foogel Caprera won agility Lagotto of the year tittle another time!

Laihia Special Very very cold show almost outdoors. Lagottos were judged by Saija Juutilainen and Foogel Liviana "Neera" did great work winnin BOB & CC, which means that she is no Finnish Champion! Huge congratulations for Neera and Tarja. Then we were showing also ESS "Tilda" Barecho Pearl Of Passion after a while. Turku International in January At Turku international show there were 38 Lagotto entries and Lagottos were judged by Romanian Petru Muntean. Foogel team was represented well and we spent a nice day in Turku, thanks for all!
